Job Description
– Medical Director (38077) Job Description Medical Director
– 38077 Description Supervises allnursing, clerical, ancillary staff and medical providers on-site and within thehealth care network.

Works with HRdepartment to recruits, on-boards, and off-boards staff.

Implements thepolicies and procedures of all regulatory agencies.

Develops andimplements the policies and procedure in compliance with agency standard ofpractice relating to the provision of quality health care to children in fostercare.

Develops andimplements the policies and procedures regarding HIV/AIDS and the servicesprovided to children and families.

Provides in-servicetraining on HIV/AIDS and other medical issues to agency staff.

Works with VP todevelop, monitor, and maintain Medicaid Budget.

Assists in theselection of appropriate medical providers for children with special needs.

Interprets andprovides guidance on preventive health care to foster children and familieswhen indicated.

Liaison for staffwith Administration, local hospitals, and outside providers.

Attendsdepartmental meetings and communicates with staff issues relating to new andrevised agency policies and procedures.

Works with VP toprepare for Medicaid redesign.

Performs otherduties as assigned Qualifications Education/Degree: Bachelor’s Degree.

Registered Nurse with New York State License Other skills and requirements: Minimun 5 years in Pediatric Nursing and/or Community Health at a Supervisory or Head Nurse Level.

Knowledge of Child Welfare system and regulations governing foster care and adoption.

Preferred Knowledge of 29-I, Medicaid Redesign, and CFTSS.
