Assistant Account Executive


This is a Contract position in Nyc, NY posted February 24, 2020.

Brand & Category Proactively learns about the category/industry and the brand/products, in order to become a trusted resource in both internal and client conversations Stays on top of category trends, and proactively alerts team members of interesting news Pulls competitive advertising on a regular basis, and alerts team members when new advertising breaks Working with Account Supervisor, develops and presents competitive overviews to both internal team and clients (at pre-determined intervals) Projects Supports Account Supervisor on all projects, with specific responsibilities discussed at the start of each project Partners with Strategy, Creative and Production to develop project timeline Stays on top of all aspects of a project, always able to explain the status, timing implications and budget implications at each step Works closely with Project Management to coordinate each step of a project (division of role between AM and PM to be determined on each account) Alerts Account Supervisor when timing and/or budget is impacted Works closely with Finance team to open job numbers, create estimates, ensure estimates are approved, ensure billing and payment are timely, final bill and close jobs Coordinates reviews with Havas legal counsel and is able to interpret and relay legal POV to team Keeps an organized folder on the shared server with all facets of the project, so that finding all documents is quick and intuitive Proofs all creative before it is sent to client Partners with production to ensure all files are trafficked and released in required format (eg, TV, Digital, Print) Ultimately, will be given the opportunity to be the lead on smaller projects which will require coming up with solutions vs asking questions Meetings Attends internal meetings relating to brand/product Ensures that all materials are prepared in advance (printed, etc) for both internal and client meetings If attending the meeting (either in person or over the phone), takes detailed notes and distributes a meeting recap within 24 hours Books conference rooms, tests equipment in advance and ensures dial-in information is secured and distributed as needed Coordinates agency and client schedules and sends meeting invite (if asked) General Learns agency structure, roles of each discipline, and the advertising agency by performing multiple functions in conjunction with other team members Creates weekly status reports of all ongoing projects, and is able to speak to each project both internally and with the client Establishes and cultivates a relationship with client partners at appropriate level Demonstrates strong work ethic in doing what it takes to get the job done Over time, begins to interpret information and share POV vs just reporting information Characteristics & Qualifications Organized—able to sort, file and retrieve information logically and easily.
