Description: Hofstra University is conducting a search for the position of Assistant Dean of Graduate Recruitment for the School of Health Professions and Human Services (HPHS).

This position will report to the Associate Vice President of Admission and responsibilities will include recruiting and managing the application process for graduate HPHS students from the time they are prospective students through enrollment for their first semester.

The individual should have strong skills in strategic planning and data analysis as well.

The Assistant Dean works with the Dean, Department Chairs, and Faculty Program Directors for timely admission decisions.

Attends and assists at Information Sessions, Graduate Open Houses, New Student Orientation, and other Admission and HPHS related events.

Evening and weekend hours may be required in support of special projects and events.

Travel required.

Candidates must be able to organize and handle all aspects of administration and adhere to the rules and regulations of Hofstra University, the Colonial Athletic Conference, and the NCAA.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required.

Master’s degree preferred.

Two to three years of recruitment experience within higher education is preferred.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills.

Must be able to work effectively and cooperatively with other areas within the University, particularly with members of the Dean’s Office, Department Chairs, and Program Directors.

Excellent organizational, administrative, and customer service skills required.

Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask in a fluid, fast-paced environment.

Must have excellent computer skills and be highly proficient in the latest word processing, presentation and data analysis software (e.g., Microsoft Suite.) Valid driver’s license required.
