This is a Contract position in Nyc, NY posted March 26, 2020.

POSITION SUMMARY: We are looking for an Account Manager to build relationships with existing customers, maximize profitability, identify and develop new leads, educate prospects and attract new long-term accounts in the Metro New York Market.

The Account Manager will be a true consulatative partner, selling Memorialization products from our extensive catalog and educating customers on products.


Driving business growth by developing relationships with current and potential customers.

Working well independently, as well as, with a team.

Compiles catalog of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.

Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers and pursue orders or talks with customers by phone.

Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes salable features and benefit.


Leadership from both our organization and potential clients.

Clients and prospects.

Internal teammates.


Utilizing Salesforce.

Developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with peers and external clients.

Microsoft Office Suite.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE: Manages existing customer base in sales territory via phone, email and web-based CRM tool.

Provides quotes to customers for products/services and inputs orders into SAP software.

Makes regularly scheduled sales calls to existing accounts as required.

Identifies and capitalizes on growth opportunities in existing account.

Meets and exceeds sales objectives set by manager.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS: Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four year college or university; or 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer/Software: Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required; experience with SAP and (or other CRM software) preferred.

Ability to manage, develop and grow customer relationships.

Multi-task within a fast-paced environment.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on customer service.

Must be results driven, goal oriented, self-motivated and confident.

Superior time management, organizational and detail-oriented skills.

Experience in the death care industry a plus, but not required.

Must be able to travel a minimum 10% of the time.
